Weepy Custard

Misc.
Telling it jokes didn't help me. Maybe I'm just not funny enough. :o)
Seriously, I've found that baking it too long causes it to weep.
Err on the side of not cooking it enough.
For me, I've found that putting custard cups in a waterbath and cooking no longer than 30 minutes worked.
If they start to puff up, they're overcooked and will be weepy.(Still tastes good though)
I've never cooked it in a large dish, only in the cups.
Hope this is of some help.
