wood stove cleaning

ours is cast iron and after cleaning there is a dressing ,[i dont remember the name, its available in hardware stores] made for cast iron stoves. it reminded me of shoe polish. i dont know if this works on the steel stoves. but i imagine it does. i should remember all of this stuff as my ex and his brother sold and installed all kinds of wood burning stoves, and i took care of all the customer needs in the store. but i slept since then. i am sure if you go into a place that handles stove pipe and furnace cement you will find it sitting on the shelf near it. i think it is called "stove black". wilma
