Recipe: Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

1 c. unsalted butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Dissolve soda in milk. Sift baking powder and flour; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk. Add vanilla; chill. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes in 375 degree oven or until browned.
