Recipe(tried): A "different" kind of apple pie...

Desserts - Pies and Tarts

My kids LOVE this. It is VERY quick and easy to make. The top of the pie
is more like an oatmeal cookie rather than a traditional crust. I have
had many people ask for this recipe after they have had it. I hope you try it
I am sure you will like it.

SWEDISH APPLE PIE

Fill a 10 inch pie plate 2/3 full with peeled, sliced apples.

Sprinkle over the top: 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon
of cinnamon.

In a medium bowl combine:
* 1 cup flour
* 1 cup sugar
* 3/4 cup oatmeal OR ground walnuts(I use oatmeal only)
* 1 pinch salt
* 1 Egg
* 3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
MIX WELL. (It will be VERY thick)

Spread over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or
until brown.

Let me know how you like it! :)
