Recipe: Amish Tuna Dip or Sandwich Spread

Appetizers and Snacks
Amish Tuna Dip or Sandwich Spread
rec.food.cooking/Bill Hilbrich (1996)

The original recipe that I saw on Quilt Country with Marcia Adams also included 1/2 cup of Chopped Pecans and she mentioned that the spread was served on dark heavy bread as a sandwich at quilting bees.

8 ounces of cream cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 (6 1/2 oz) can tuna
1/2 cup chopped and pitted olives
2 tablespoons lemon juice
black pepper to taste

Mix all the ingredients, adding more or less mayonnaise depending on your desire to make a chip dip, or a sandwich spread.
