Recipe: Applesauce Bread (with raisins, Bisquick recipe)

APPLESAUCE BREAD

2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup raisins

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 inches.

Beat all ingredient except raisins in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 2 minutes.

Stir in raisins. Pour batter into pan.

Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 55 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from pan. Cool comply before slicing.

Makes 4-6 servings
