Recipe: April Fools Sandwiches and Cake

A friend of mine had an April Fool's party once and had a couple of really clever ideas. She sliced angel food cake into thin pieces like sandwich bread and put together with a cherry salad of some kind so they would look like ham salad sandwiches, and cut them diagonally. Then she took an unsliced loaf of bread, cut it into layers and filled it with various fillings. Then she spread it all over with cream cheese mixture so it looked like a frosted cake and decorated it. It was really cute!
