Recipe: Basic Hot Oatmeal to Serve 100 and Instructional Video

Hi Dale, Here is a basic quantity recipe for you...

HOT OATMEAL
Makes 100 portions, 3/4 cup each

6 pounds uncooked rolled oats (1 gallon, 3/8 quarts)
3 tablespoons salt (1 7/8 ounces)
5 gallons boiling water (41 3/4 pounds)

Add dry cereal and salt to boiling water; stir to prevent lumping. Return to a boil; reduce heat; simmer 1 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off heat; let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Per 3/4 cup serving: 106 cal; 18 g Carbs; 5 g Protein; 2 g Fat; 0 mg Cholesterol; 216 mg Sodium; 19 mg Calcium
