Recipe(tried): Beau Monde Seasoning.- Dearest June: Here is a substitution

Almost Beau Monde Seasoning

1 tablespoon ground cloves
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon ground bay leaf
1 tablespoon ground allspice
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground mace
1 teaspoon celery seed
2 tablespoons ground white pepper

In a small mixing bowl, sift together the clove, cinnamon, salt, bay leaf, allspice, pepper, nutmeg, mace, celery seed and white pepper; mix well and store in a tightly closed jar.

Makes 8 tablespoons

Boneless Chicken Thighs in the Crockpot

Today I cooked in the crockpot boneless chicken thighs (about 6) with 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped green pepper, 2 chopped garlic cloves, 2 bay leaves, a few leaves of cilantro chopped (fresh), 1 half tomato chopped and 1/4 cup white wine. I seasoned it with salt & pepper to taste & 1 envelope of Goya's Sazon con Culantro y Achiote.

I cooked the thighs in high for 2 hours. In another pot I prepared 1/2 package of Ziti (pasta) following the package directions. After they were al dente, I drained the pasta (Ziti)& I mixed it with the chicken thighs & sauce in the crockpot. I also add 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. I lowered the crockpot to Low & I left it cooking until the cheese melt. I served this easy delicious dish with a green salad with bottled-Lite Italian Dressing.

Hope you will try it soon, dearest June. It was so very tasty & easy! My niece took all the remaining Chicken with Pasta to her home, to serve it tonight.
