BEEF STEAK AL FRESCO FOR TWO WITH GRILLED VEGETABLES
10 to 12 ounce boneless Beef Top Loin Steak
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
Dash cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Grilled Vegetables (recipe follows)
Place steak on plate. Mix remaining ingredients except Grilled Vegetables. Press spice mixture firmly into surface of steak on both sides; cover. Refrigerate at least 8 hours, no longer than 48 hours.
WHEN READY TO COOK:
Cook steak over barbecue grill 4 inches from medium-hot coals, 8 minutes per side for rare or until desired doneness. Serve with Grilled Vegetables.
GRILLED VEGETABLES
8 cherry tomatoes, halved
1 onion, sliced and separated into rings
6 pimento-stuffed olives'
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 teaspoon chill powder
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup beef broth
Place tomatoes, onion rings and olives on sheet of foil. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients in order listed. Fold foil to make a tightly wrapped package. Place package on grill while steak is cooking.
