Celebration Punch
Recipe By : K of C Wives Cookbook

4 quarts ginger ale
1/2 gallon orange sherbet
1 cup ReaLemon
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate -- 6 ounce
2 cans pineapple juice -- 46 ounces

Combine and mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.Susan,IL (8:52:30 PM) :

Orange Judas (Similar to Orange Julius)

1 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup non-fat dry milk powder
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup crushed ice

put all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for a few minutes until frothy.
Makes 12 ounces.

Raspberry Crush
Recipe by K of C Wives Cookbook

4 cups cold water
1 envelope unsweetened raspberry Kool-aid
1/2 cup sugar
1 6 oz can frozen lemonade
1 10 oz pkg frozen raspberries, thawed
2 16 oz bottles of lemon-lime soda
1 cup raspberry sherbet

Put 2 cups cold water, Kool-aid, and sugar in blender and blend until dissolved. Add other 2 cups of water and raspberries. Stir and chill. Just before serving, add chilled soda, lemonade and sherbet. Mix well.

Not exactly a recipe for August, but fall and winter are just around the corner! This is really good!

White Hot Chocolate
Recipe By : Susan Wilson
Serving Size : 4

1 1/2 pints half and half
2/3 cup vanilla baking chips
1 cinnamon stick -- 3 inches
1 dash ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
ground cinnamon -- optional

In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of cream, vanilla chips, cinnamon stick and nutmeg. Stir over low heat until chips are melted; discard cinnamon. Add remaining cream; stir until heated through. Remove from the heat; add extracts. Sprinkle each serving with ground cinnamon if desired.

Hot Cocoa

Serving Size : 9

1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups water
4 1/2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla beans -- optional

Mix sugar, cocoa and salt in a 2-quart saucepan. Add water. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in milk; heat through but do not boil. Stir in vanilla.

Just before serving, beat with hand beater until foamy. Marie.Ohio (9:18:04 PM) :

Sparkly's surprise punch..

1-2 liter. bottle 7-up
1 46 oz. pineapple juice
1-12 oz. frozen orange juice thawed
1/2- 1 t. peppermint extract
the surprise ingredient is the peppermint extract.. always draws comments. this makes 30 servings..
easily double and tripled..have made it for 150 servings..
maraschino cherries.
I freeze the cherries in ice cubes..for the fun of it..

This might be useful for summer drink...

Sweetened Condensed Milk

2 cups non-fat dry milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup boiling water
6 tablespoons melted butter

Mix dry ingredients and slowly add to boiling water. Stir in melted butter. Whip in blender or by hand until smooth. Can be refrigerated for up to one week or frozen for up to six months. Yield: 20 ounces.

Kentucky Derby
(A mock mint julep drink)

Recipe from: Drinks Without Liquor
4 or 5 fresh mint springs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups cold water
3/4 cups lemon juice (fresh if possible)
1 1/2 cups ginger ale
Garnish: wafer-thin lemon slices

Rinse the mint and discard the stems. Place the sugar, water, and lemon juice in a medium size bowl, mix and stir in mint leaves. Let stand for 30 minutes.

Fill a large pitcher with ice cubes, and strain the liquid over the ice. Add the ginger ale and lemon slices and serve.

Recipe from: Drinks Without Liquor
"Drink a toast to your most luxurious dessert with this rosy cooler (or toast the bride and groom.)

sugar lumps (1 for each serving)
Bitters
Fresh strawberries
Lemon Twists (1 for each serving)
Cold ginger ale

For each serving, put a sugar lump in the bottom of a tulip champagne glass, add a dash of bitters, several fresh strawberries, and a lemon twist. Fill with cold ginger ale.

Think Thin Coffee Milkshake

Recipe from: Drinks Without Liquor

1 cup cold skim milk
3 ice cubes crushed
1 teaspoon powdered instant coffee
Artificial sweetener to taste

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy.
