1 envelope Good Seasons Italian salad dressing mix
1 pkg (10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed, well drained

Verla,.Il (10:15:02 AM) :
Dip in Bread
1 round loaf of crusty Italian bread
1 8 0z pkg of cream cheese
1 8 oz container of sour cream
1 cup of salsa
1 bag of taco shredded cheese
Cut off the top of the bread and scoop out all of the inner bread. Mix all of the other ingredients together and pout into hollowed out bread. Double wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve right from the oven. Use the bread from the inside for dipping. Can also use nachos.
This is so good you better make extras. You can make ahead and freeze but do not cook until ready to serve.
You folks in Texas and the south can just put the bread on the sidewalk or the hood of your car!
Fran,.ME (11:33:02 AM) :
Creamy Curry Dip for Crudites
16 oz. sour cream
16 oz. Hellman's mayonnaise (we like this best but others would probably work)
1 small packet Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix
1-2 Tbsp. curry (to taste)
Stir sour cream and mayo, then add salad dressing mix and curry. Mix well.
Serve with raw veggies of your choice.Fran,.ME (11:49:17 AM) :
Salsa (makes 2 cups)
3 lg. summer tomatoes, finely chopped
3/4 cup green onions, chopped
3 Tbsp. green chilies, minced
(use jalapenos if you want it hot)
1-2 Tbsp cilantro, minced
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Cut the tomatoes in half and squeeze the insides into a bowl. Finely chop them and add to the bowl with all the other ingredients. Chill well before serving.
Serve this, along with a bowl of sour cream, as a dip for tortilla chips (or as a topping for Quesadillas when the hot weather goes away!!) Verla,.Il. (1:22:55 PM) :

8 oz pkg of cream cheese
Put cheese on a nice plate and top with any of the following:
1 small jar of green pepper jelly
1/2 c. of roasted onion and garlic jam
Let stand at room temperature until it softens.

1 green onion, finely chopped
