Recipe: Bite Size Corn Dogs

1 cup self-rising flour
2/3 cup self-rising cornmeal
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. cooking oil
1 (1 lb.) pkg. hot dogs, cut in desired lengths
oil (for deep frying)
Mix flour, cornmeal and sugar. Add buttermilk, egg and oil.
Roll hot dogs in mixture and drop in hot oil until golden brown.
