Recipe: Bon Bon Chicken with Vegetables and Sesame-Ginger Sauce (steamed, serves 2)

1 lb broccoli (or 8 oz flowerettes)
10 oz whole carrots
12 oz boneless skinless chicken breasts
FOR THE SAUCE:
1 to 2 garlic cloves
1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger
5 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
3 to 4 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. Oriental sesame paste (or tahini)
2 tbsp. rice vinegar
1 to 2 tbsp. Oriental chili sauce or hot chili paste with garlic
1 tsp sugar
Wash and trim broccoli. Cut into small flowerettes. Scrape carrots. Slice thin in food processor.
Simmer veggies in enough water to steam them; cover pan. Cut chicken into strips. Add to veggies. Veggies should cook about 7 minutes in all. Chicken should be tender, and cooked through. Drain it all.
While the chicken is cooking, whirl the remaining ingredients in the food processor, starting with the garlic and ginger.
To serve, toss the chicken, veggies, and sauce together.
