Recipe: Brown Sugar Drops with Browned Butter Frosting (using biscuit mix)
Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, BarsBROWN SUGAR DROPS
1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
1 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients together. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown. Cool.
If you like, frost with Browned Butter Frosting, below.
BROWNED BUTTER FROSTING
1/3 cup butter or margarine
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
Heat butter in saucepan over medium heat until a delicate brown. Blend in confectioners' sugar. Stir in vanilla and milk. Beat until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency.
Makes about 4 dozen
