Recipe: Cabbage Patch Stew (using stewed tomatoes, beans and cauliflower)

CABBAGE PATCH STEW

1 lb ground beef
1 cup water
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 medium head fresh cauliflower, cut into flowerets
1/2 head cabbage, shredded
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen mixed vegetables
1 (16 oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp ground black pepper (or to taste)
1 tsp salt

Brown ground beef in a soup pot.

Add 1 cup water and remaining ingredients. Cook approximately 2 hours on medium heat or until the cauliflower is tender. (The longer you cook the better it is.)

Makes 8 servings
