This is by far one of my Favorite Recipes!!
JOHNS CARRABA'S CAJUN SHRIMP PASTA
1 package penne pasta
2 jars spicy Alfredo sauce (cheating on this part)
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lemon
1 lime
1 lb shrimp, shelled, deveined
1 tbsp red cayenne pepper*
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp salt
Directions BABY!!!!!
Start by cooking your pasta and put the Alfredo sauce into a pot on low heat.
Put butter, olive oil, into a skillet and squeeze in juice from 1/2 lemon and 1/2 lime. Add shrimp to skillet and saute. When the shrimp is well coated with the oil and butter add the spices into the pan and continue to saute until the shrimp turn color. When the shrimp is cooked squeeze in the juice from the other halves of lemon and lime.
Then in a separate medium pan scoop out 2 large spoonfuls of the shrimp along with enough Alfredo to cover the bottom by a 1/4-inch and saute over medium heat until the Alfredo and shrimp are well mixed.
Then put a serving of the cooked and drained pasta on a plate and pour Alfredo shrimp sauce directly onto pasta and SERVE!!!
*More cayenne can be added for taste if desired when you saute the Alfredo and shrimp together.
Good luck and happy cooking
