Recipe: Celery Seed Dressing (French's box recipe, 1960's)

CELERY SEED DRESSING

"Excellent with fruit salads."

1 teaspoon Colman's Dry Mustard
1 teaspoon water
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon French's Paprika
1/4 teaspoon French's Onion Powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons vinegar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon French's Celery Seed

Combine mustard and water, allow to stand 10 minutes.

Mix mustard mixture, sugar, salt, paprika, onion, and garlic with one half of the vinegar. Add oil gradually while beating with rotary beater. Add remainder of vinegar. Add celery seed last.

Makes 1 1/2 cups
