CHERRY SQUARES
1 pkg. white cake mix (2 layer size)
1 1/2 cups rolled oats, divided use
6 Tbsp butter, softened
1 egg
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
Combine cake mix, 1 cup oats, and 6 Tbsp butter. Mix till crumbly. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for top.
To remaining crumbs, mix in 1 egg. Press into prepared pan. Pour cherry pie filling over this; spread to cover.
To reserved crumbs, add the remaining 1/4 cup oats, 2 Tbsp butter, nuts and brown sugar. Mix and sprinkle over top.
Bake for 30-40 minutes; cool.
