Recipe: Chess Pie Cookies (cookie bars, using cake mix, cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk)

CHESS PIE COOKIES

1 (2 layer size) pkg. butter cake mix
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
4 eggs, divided use
1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Mix together dry cake mix, butter and 1 egg and put in 9x13-inch pan.

Combine powdered sugar, condensed milk, cream cheese and the remaining 3 eggs; pour mixture over cake mixture in pan. Top with pecans.

Bake at 300 degrees F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool before cutting.

May be frozen.
