Recipe(tried): Chocolate Cake with Tofu results...

I made this recipe last Sunday for friends. I was less than impressed with the way it turned out. It had a very floury taste. I WAS impressed with the way the tofu frosting came out. It's just a combination of tofu, melted chocolate and vanilla. Kind of a mousse-like texture, not very sweet at all, in fact I added a bit of powdered sugar (I was afraid to add too much, I thought it might cause the frosting to weep while standing). I like my chocolate on the less-sweet side, so I will definately make the frosting again. But not the cake, I think it's a waste of a cup of maple syrup, it just made me REALLY want REAL chocolate cake...not the thing I was going for. Some of the guests, however, did like it and took half of it home. The friend I gave the rest to the next day liked it also, so maybe it's just me (and the other guest who wasn't impressed) I ate a piece the second day with some soy milk poured over it, it was better, but I didn't like it enough to keep any more for myself.
