CHOCOLATE DROP COOKIES WITH CHOCOLATE ICING
1/2 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup milk
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add egg and beat thoroughly. Add vanilla.
Sift together flour and baking soda. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend in chocolate then nuts. Drop by tablespoon onto buttered baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and cool.
When completely cool, frost with icing.
