Recipe(tried): Coconut cracking

Misc.

As well as boring out one of the 'eyes' of the coconut, you have to crack it to get the meat out. Simply take a small hammer and hit it around the centre-line (turning it in your hand)until it breaks. Don't hit along the longtitudinal 'seams' of the nut, as it'll never break that way, and DON'T hit it hard. It's a matter of hitting it a lot of times till it cracks gently into two neat halves, rhater than hitting it so hard that it fragments all over your kitchen!

Good Luck!
