Recipe: Cookbook - Recipes from Brownie Points: Over 100 Outrageously Delicious and Easy Recipes Based on America's Favorite Dessert by Lisa Slater
Desserts - Assorted1. The Classic Brownie
Everyone has a favorite brownie recipe and I m no exception. My best food memory is coming home from school and entering the house to the incredible aroma of baking brownies. I could easily eat a pan myself but had the brakes put on me by my mom, who warned me about ruining my appetite before dinner. Somehow, even now, alas, that never happens... I always have an appetite, for dinner or any other meal, but especially for these brownies!
2. Shiny Chocolate Glaze
This is a sensational chocolate glaze that stays shiny whether refrigerated or not.
3. Fresh Fruit Chocolate Crumbles: Pear, Cherry, Cranberry, Raspberry
These are the easiest and most delicious fruit desserts. You ll make them so often that soon you won t even need the recipe.
4. Chocolate Espresso Coffee Cake with Mocha Ganache
I developed this cake for a wonderful new bundt pan with a terraced pattern. It got me thinking about chocolate glaze wending its way down the sides of the cake in a kind of circular pattern rather than its usual downward drip. It took me many tries to get the texture just right without compromising the deep, rich chocolate flavor.
