IRISH BREAD
1/4 lb (1/2 cup) butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup raisins
Cream butter and sugar together; set aside.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together; and add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Add raisins. Pour into a greased (8x8-inch) square baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
