Wonderfully easy recipe for those who like toffee, and chocolate:

Cracker Brittle:

1 C butter
1 C brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
choc chips
saltine crackers
chopped nuts (Optional)
Cover cookie sheet with saltines. Cook over medium
heat the butter, and sugar stirring until it boils. Let boil without stirring for 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes, remove from heat, add vanilla, and pour hot syrup over saltines, spreading as necessary. Preheat oven to 350, and put cookie sheet in oven for 5 minutes or until syrup bubbles. Remove from oven, and sprinkle to
cover with chocolate chips. Let sit until chocolate melts, then spread out.. could add chopped nuts at this point if desired. Refrigerate, then break up into pieces. Enjoy!!!!
