Recipe(tried): Craisins

Using my intuition, this is my version for what you sent for Dried cranberries.
4-12oz bags fresh cranberries
5 cups water
4-1/2 cups sugar
Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a rolling boil. Pour boiling syrup over berries.( I used a large stainless mixing bowl)Put berries over steamer for 45 minutes. ( I used my extra large boiling water canner, with the rack folded down.)Remove from steamer and let cool covered w/ a dish cloth, untouched. Leave in a warm place,covered, 3-4 days stirring occasionally.
Strain berries through collander(reserve juice for another use) and place on dehydrator trays, lined with wax paper and sprayed with non stick oil.Dry about 12 hours or until raisin like.
It sounds harder than it is.And they taste great. Thanks again Michele!
