Unsweetened Creme Fraiche

1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon buttermilk


Sweetened Creme Fraiche

1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon buttermilk

Combine the ingredient in a glass jar. Cover it loosely and let sit in a warm
place for 4 to 24 hours, depending upon the warmth of the environment. When the
cream has thickened to the consistency of sour cream, refrigerate. It will keep
for one week in the refrigerator.
