DELI PASTELILLOS

This is a little something I came up with for dinner last night. I thought it'd be a nice twist on a traditional Hispanic favorite. I think it came out awesome.

1 pound bacon
1/2 package Oscar Mayer "Carving Board" honey ham
10 deli slices Jarlsburg cheese (or your personal favorite)
1 pack Goya Discos (in frozen Spanish foods section)
2 cups oil (for frying)

Fry the bacon until crisp.

Roll up tightly two slices of ham and one slice of cheese and place toward the center of one disco, making sure to leave enough dough along the edges to seal. Add crumbled bacon.

Fold the disco in half with ingredients inside so that you've formed a semi-circle. Using a fork, crimp the edges of the dough to seal the pocket of ingredients.

6. Fry in oil over a medium-high heat, turning once, until both sides are golden brown. Blot on paper towels, let cool slightly and enjoy.
