Recipe: Dishwasher Salmon

Misc.

Dishwasher Salmon

Needs:

salmon fillets
aluminum foil
a lemon
a few butter pats
electric dishwasher

Place the fish on two large sheets of aluminum foil. Squeeze on some lemon juice and place the pats of butter on the salmon fillets. Seal the fillets well in the foil, and place the foil packet in the top wire basket of your electric
dishwasher. DO NOT ADD SOAP OR DETERGENT. Close the dishwasher door, set the dishwasher on the hottest wash cycle, complete with drying cycle, and let it run through a full cycle. When the cycle is complete the fish will be cooked just right.

Dishwasher Salmon (another recipe)

4 fillets salmon
4 tsp. Dijon mustard
4 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tbs. fresh grated ginger
1 tsp. sesame oil
salt and pepper

Combine mustard, juice, soy sauce, ginger, and oil to
create marinade. Cut four large pieces of aluminum
foil. Brush oil onto shiny side of foil. Place a fillet in
the center of a piece of foil and spread a tablespoon of
marinade over the top. Fold foil by pulling long sides
to top and carefully fold over several times, creating a
tight seal. Seal the ends with tight folds. Place packets
into dishwasher. It is highly recommended that you
contact the consumer division of your dishwasher
manufacturer to ask what temperature your washer
runs. The temperature must be at least 115 degrees.
Turn dishwasher on to run at a 50 minute cycle or
more. Remove packets after the 50 minute cycle and
serve.
