EASY BROWNIE DRESS-UPS
Stir one of the following into (dry) brownie mix. Prepare and bake as directed on package.
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
- 1/2 cup mint-chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate-covered raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (peanuts, cashews, pecans, almonds)
- 1/2 cup cut-up or chopped dates
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
OR, sprinkle over brownie before baking:
1/3 to 1/2 cup chopped chocolate-covered candy bar
OR, sprinkle over hot brownie after baking:
1/2 cup almond brickle chips or crushed peppermint candy over hot brownie after baking.
High Altitude Directions (3500 to 6500 feet):
Prepare brownie mix as directed in high altitude directions on package. Do not use chopped chocolate-covered candy bar.
