Recipe(tried): Easy Ornaments

Misc.

A really easy ornamnent is thosae made out of cinnamon dough. The recipe I use is as follows:

Mix equal parts cinnamon and applesauce (usually 1/2 cup of each is plenty, although you may need
more cinnamon to make a nice dough)
Once the dough forms up nicely, roll it out to about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch.
Use cookie cutters to cut out Christmas shapes (or just use hearts and stars). Make a gole near the top
using a drinking straw or a toothpick ( i prefer the straw).
Place on wire racks to dry for a day or two, or if you have the time to watch the ornaments, bake at 250
degrees F for a about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on size and thickness.
After they are dry, you can paint the ornaments - I like to use pearlized puffy paint - it's so easy and it's
not messy at all! Usually we date the ornaments, but you don't have too. (we have ones from 1990)
Loop a ribbon through the hole you made and VOILA ! Easy and great smelling ornaments!
Hope this helps you out!
