Recipe: Famous Rotel Cheese Dip (using Velveeta, Ro-Tel recipe, 1978)

FAMOUS ROTEL CHEESE DIP

1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel Tomatoes and Green Chilies
1 lb. pasteurized American cheese (like Velveeta)
corn chips, tortilla chips or crackers (for serving)

To Rotel add cheese which has been melted in a double boiler (for additional thickness add more cheese). Mix together.

Serve warm as a dip with corn chips, tortilla chips or crackers.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut cheese into cubes; place cheese and Rotel in 1 1/2 quart covered glass casserole dish for 10-12 minutes on medium power or until cheese is melted.
