FIG COOKIES
2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 cup chopped figs
Sift flour, cinnamon and soda together.
Cream butter with sugar until fluffy; add eggs, cream and figs. Add sifted dry ingredients with more flour if necessary. Chill thoroughly.
Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/8 inch thickness, cut with cookie cutter.
Bake on buttered baking sheet in moderate oven (350 degrees F) 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen cookies
