Recipe(tried): Finger foods for New Years Eve party - Ideas

Holidays, Celebrations
Have done a lot of parties over the years for family and friends. So a little more info please? For 20 people: How many children (approx. ages?)and how many adults? Length of party? 6PM until midnight or 9PM until midnight? Overnight?

Make as many items as possible ahead or have chafers or crock pots to keep food warm, you want to enjoy the party too. Don't do large cold platters... do several smaller ones and replenish or serve platters on ice(food safety no more than 2 hours out of fridge including prep time).

Various hot drinks; Set up hot water and place in a pretty basket or bowl various packets of:
teas, hot chocolate, coffee, spiced apple cider, milk, sugar, splender.

Various cold soft drinks. Remember decaf and diet. Could do canned and keep in cooler or bowl with ice. Not a BYOB party? Fix a favorite punch (nonalcoholic) that adults and kids would enjoy.

Pigs in a blanket
Various Crudiets & dips
Salty chips, dips
Ham & cheese kabobs
Pineapple and cherry kabobs
Ham & pineapple kabobs
Pound cake (do not add icing)
Brownies (dust with powdered sugar just before placing on table)
(Note: chocolate frosting especially, and other frosting just doesn't mix with children and party clothes. You want the moms and children to have fun.

Do-ahead chicken salad and/or pimento cheese sandwich quarters or pockets: Make ahead, cover with damp paper towel, wrap with plastic wrap. Can also fill small baked dinner rolls with sandwich fillings.

You can do chicken salad wrapped in a turkey slice and then wrap in ruffled lettuce leaf. Add fancy toothpick, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
If you make your own chicken salad; one cooked chicken will go a long way. But you can buy canned chicken breast and fix the salad more quickly.

You could have a:
Make your own sandwich buffet; setup cold buffet
Various breads, meats, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes,
condiments
