Main Dishes - Pasta, Sauces
Hi Debbie, try this and I think you'll like it.

ITALIAN PASTA SAUCE

1/3 cup good olive oil
2 to 3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
about 1/2 can of water or wine
2 tbsp. chopped Italian parsley
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried sage (your secret ingredient!)
1/2 cup of grated Locatelli Romano cheese
3 or 4 torn fresh basil leaves

In a large pot add olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes and cook till pale color and fragrant (careful not to brown or it will taste bitter).

Now add crushed tomatoes and about 1/2 can of water or wine. Add parsley, salt, black pepper, and sage.

After simmering for about 40 minutes add the grated cheese and basil leaves. You're done - just serve and enjoy .

My family and friends all love this sauce good luck and i hope you like it too.
