Recipe(tried): Freezing tomatoes

Yes they can be frozen. For chunky soups and sauces I peel, chop, and bring mine to a boil before freezing. If the tomatoes are what I call ratty looking, I cut out the bad places, core them, heat them, and run thru a ricer for the pulp and juice. So far I have not had any problems and they are almost like using fresh coming from the freezer.
