Recipe: Fried Artichoke Hearts (Italian)
Appetizers and SnacksFRIED ARTICHOKE HEARTS
2 pkg. Frozen artichoke hearts
Flour for dredging
Eggs, beaten for dipping
Flavored bread crumbs
Salt, pepper, garlic, parsley, grated cheese (to taste)
Oil (for frying)
Cook the artichoke hearts in water for about 3-4 minutes. Drain.
When cool enough to handle, dredge in flour. Then dip in egg and in bread crumbs pressing the crumbs in gently with the palm of your hand.
Fry on both sides in hot oil until golden. Drain and serve.
