Recipe: Sherry Spiced Nuts
Appetizers and SnacksSHERRY SPICED NUTS
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup Cream Sherry
Pinch of cream of tartar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups walnuts, or pecans
Combine sugar, Sherry, and cream of tartar in a small saucepan; boil until syrup threads; remove from heat.
Add cinnamon and vanilla; mix well. Add nuts; stir until cold.
Turn out onto a buttered platter. Separate with a fork.
Makes approx. 1 pint
