Recipe: Fried Ribbons (bowties) Cape Cod for yo

For the person in Cape Cod, MA who requested
a recipe for fried cookies.

Bowties or Ribbons
1 tsp sugar(melted)
2 tsp baking powder
6 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
approx 4 cups sifted flour

Beat eggs, shortening, vanilla, & sugar
together. Add flour and baking powder.
Knead out well on floured board. Roll thin and cut on diagonal. Make slit in middle if each square
and fry in hot grease.
