Recipe: Frosted Banana Bars

FROSTED BANANA BARS
From: Taste of Home

1/2 C. soft butter,or margerine
2 C. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 C. mashed ripe bananas (3)
1 t. vanilla
2 C. flour
1 t. baking soda
pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas and vanill. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed minture and mix well. Pour into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until bars test done. Cool.

Frosting:

1/2 C. soft butter, or margerine
1 package (8ox) cream cheese, softened
4 C. confectioners sugar
2 t. vanilla

Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Gradually add confectioners sugar and vanilla; beat well. Spread over bars.

Yields 3 dozen.
