Recipe: Fruit Dips Using Brown Sugar - Kahlua Fruit Dip, Spice Dip
Appetizers and SnacksKAHLUA FRUIT DIP (with pecans)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cups Cool Whip, thawed
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup Kahlua (liquor)
1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
Mix first four ingredients together. Refrigerate.
Add pecans when ready to serve. Dip apple slices, strawberries or kiwi.
KAHLUA FRUIT DIP (with sour cream)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup Cool Whip, thawed
3/4 cup Kahlua
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup brown sugar
Mix cream cheese and Cool Whip until smooth. Add kahlua and brown sugar and mix. Then beat in sour cream until smooth. Refrigerate overnight. Will keep as long as Cool Whip.
Serve with kiwi, strawberries, apples, pineapple, bananas, etc.
SPICE DIP
2 cups Cool Whip, thawed
Dash of nutmeg
1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
Mix ingredients together until sugar is dissolved.
Soak apple and pear slices in 1 cup water and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Drain and arrange on plate.
Hi Marlena,
The first 2 recipes fit your description except for the Kalhua. If you don't want to use that you could mix the other ingredients together and gradually add just enough milk to get the consistency you want for dipping. You may need to add a little more when it thickens after chilling. If anyone else has the recipe you're looking for or if you find it, please post it.
