Recipe: Pecan Date Cheese Ball
Appetizers and SnacksPECAN DATE CHEESE BALL
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp water
2 pkg (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped pecans
In a small bowl, dissolve mustard in water and let set 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
Add nutmeg and mustard. Stir in cheddar cheese and dates. Chill for 15 minutes.
Shape into a ball, roll in pecans.
Chill and serve with crackers.
