Recipe: Fruit-filled Turnovers
Misc.FRUIT FILLED TURNOVERS
1/2 lb. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 cups flour
Fruit pie filling (apple, blueberry, cherry, etc.)
Soften butter and cream cheese and cream
together. Add flour mix into a ball.
Roll out as you would a pie crust approximately
1/8- inch thick.
Cut into 3- 1/2 inch circles for turnovers or cut to fit small tart pans.
Place about one tablespoon of fruit filling
on 1/2 of each circle. Fold over, crimping
edges to seal. If making tarts, fill with fruit
filling to top of tart shell.
Place turnovers or fruit filled tarts onto
an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375
degrees F or until delicate brown, about 15 to
20 minutes. Cool slightly.
Drizzle with powdered sugar icing made with
confectioner's sugar, margarine, vanilla, and milk.
