Recipe: Gourmet Dinner Rolls (using yeast, garlic and Parmesan) (Bisquick recipe)

Breads - Yeast Breads
GOURMET DINNER ROLLS

1 package active dry yeast
2/3 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees F)
2 1/2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix (biscuit mix)
1 tablespoon soft butter or margarine
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in baking mix; beat vigorously. Turn dough onto floured board. Knead until smooth, about 20 times.

Roll dough into a rectangle, 12 x 9 inches. Spread with butter; sprinkle with cheese and garlic powder. Cut into twelve 3-inch squares. Roll up each as for jelly roll; place seam side down on greased baking sheet. Make cuts halfway through dough at 1/2 inch intervals. Curve slightly to separate cuts. Cover and let rise in warm place until double about 30 minutes.

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 1 dozen.
