Recipe(tried): Grandma Guerber's Marshmallow Creme Fudge

Desserts - Candy, Chocolate
This is our family's recipe for fudge, I hope it's what you are looking for. My grandmother (Guerber) always made it for Christmas. You can omit the nuts if you wish. Happy Holidays!

GRANDMA GUERBER'S MARSHMALLOW CREME FUDGE

1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow cr me
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine marshmallow creme, sugar, milk, margarine and salt in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes over moderate heat, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat. Add semi-sweet morsels and stir until melted.

Stir in nuts and vanilla. Pour immediately into a greased 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm.
