Recipe: Grandma Oberts Bodkins (fried cookies) - great grandmother's recipe from Italy

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
I believe it's called a Bodkin - great grandmother's recipe from Italy

GRANDMA OBERTS BODKINS

2 eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup oil
2 packets yeast combined with 2 1/2 cups warm water
7 cups flour

Mix ingredients together in stated order. Raise dough once.

Punch down. Raise dough again.

Fry in oil. Put in warm oven to keep fresh. Roll in sugar before serving.

She didn't explain much but if you have made bread you should have an idea for the steps. I don't know what temperature the oil should be or how long they cook. I hope this is what your looking for.
