Recipe: Grandma's Tea Cakes (cookies)

GRANDMA'S TEA CAKES

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups plain flour (All-Purpose)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together, softened butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla,
until nice and fluffy; set aside.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and add to creamed mixture. Put in fridge for 1 hour.

WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Roll dough out onto lightly floured cloth to 1/4-inch thick. Cut out with jelly jar and put on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10- 12 minutes oruntil nice and brown.

I hope you enjoy these as much as kids always did and us
grownups too.
