Recipe(tried): Granny Crabtree's Chicken and Dumplins - problem with dumplings

I thought I followed your recipe correctly. Evidently, in regard to the dumplins, I failed to succeed. When I went to stir the dumplins after about fifteen minutes on simmer, there were no more dumplins. They had dissolved. Any suggestions. Thanks
