Recipe: Chicken-Broccoli Alfredo Bowl (like Applebee's)

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
To make this dish, partially pre-cooked chicken is heated in the microwave. If blackened seasoning is added, it can be cooked on a flat-top grill. Alfredo is pre-portioned and microwaved to order. The grill cook pours the microwaved pasta into the pasta bowl and pours the alfredo sauce on top. I have been told from what distributor Applebee's gets their alfredo sauce but I don't remember the name (I DO remember that it was a brand you could buy in stores... but the canned sauce tastes NOTHING like the sauce purchased by Applebee's). Next, the microwaved veggies are mixed in and the dish is topped with the chicken. Before serving, the server tops the dish with shaved parmesan. Basically, this dish cannot be authentically replicated since it is all microwaved and requires Applebee's only items. However, talk to the manager at your local restaurant - they WILL sell the sauce to you at a *very* heightened cost.
